Later this month, the Keio University Art Center ( [Later this month, the Keio University Art Center (KUAC) will hold an exhibition of Yoshikuni Iida (1923-2006), an alumnus of Keio University and the creator of the sculpture “Flora of Knowledge” that stands at the entrance to the Keio University Library (Media Center) at Mita Campus. The exhibition will introduce the “International Sculptors Symposium,” which led to the EXPO’70, for which Iida also demonstrated his skills as a producer, mainly through materials in the possession of the Art Center. The exhibition will also include information on Iida's relationship with Keio University. Date: May 27 (Mon) ? On April 25, Chief Executive Scott MacDonald of th [On April 25, Chief Executive Scott MacDonald of the British Council paid a visit to President Kohei Itoh at Keio University’s Mita Campus. They were joined by British Council Japan Director Matthew Knowles and Keio Vice-President Motohiro Tsuchiya to talk about the numerous past exchanges between Keio and the British Council Tokyo, as well as the Japan-UK Research and Education Network for Knowledge Economy Initiative (RENKEI) which Keio joined in 2023. #Keio_Univ @britishcouncil @jpbritish+]

On April 18, the US Ambassador to the United Natio [On April 18, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, visited Keio University's Mita Campus and met with eleven students from the Graduate School of Science and Technology who are conducting research related to AI. Earlier this year, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted a resolution about steering the use of AI technology. This effort was spearheaded by the United States and will have implications on the development and implementation of AI in over 120 countries and regions, including Japan, which were involved in the consensus. The interactive session was brought about after the ambassador expressed her desire to hear first-hand from students about their AI research. The session involved demonstrations by some of the students to Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield; Kohei Itoh, the president of Keio University; and Kiyoto Tsuji, Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs.
