Designit is home to analysts, brainstormers, creators, doers, dreamers, explorers, geeks, leaders, learners, lovers, mamas, papas, renegades, strategists, tree-huggers, visionaries, question-askers. People brilliant at what they do. Rebels with a cause ? crafting desirable futures. Want to make tomorrow a whole lot better for humanity? Believe us; you will get the chance to do that.

Take a look under the hood

Written and unspoken rules

Hello. Konnichiwa. Hola. Namaste. Guten tag. You can find us all over the world, but how we work and play is based on the same philosophy ? the power of collective creativity. Since the beginning, our strength has always been bringing many different voices, passions, ideas, and skills together. That's where the magic happens. The impact of what we design lies in our differences.

Of course, culture is often made up of both written and unspoken rules. So, what are our written rules? Well, we have a set of values that guide our actions. We’re Daring, Curious, Thoughtful, Inclusive, and Inspiring. Think of them as principles. You'll find them in our onboarding, in our talent development, and they're our guiding light when we hire. Basically, they reflect how we behave from Seattle to Munich and all the way down under in Sydney.

Diversity through action

The design industry is 89.5% white and 60% male. We are here to change this. It will not happen overnight, and it's way more than numbers and representation. It's a never-ending work in progress to better the everyday lived human experience for everyone here.

We're on a path to change every aspect of our business, from recruitment to our values, policies, and the way we work and deliver. Designit will only become more diverse, equitable and inclusive through our actions. The actions we haven't taken and those we will. Everyone takes part ? no exceptions.

Working here, you'll be expected to go on the journey with us. Taking part in our awareness training, workshops, and events that broaden our horizon ? or choosing to step forward to become an inclusion champion for your studio. It might be uncomfortable at times as you're confronted with new questions or start to understand your own biases. We get it. But we have to do the work to make Designit diverse, equitable and inclusive by default.

Your growth is on you

Learning, growing and progressing happens every day, all year long, and when it comes to your talent development, the spotlight is on you. You'll have someone responsible for you, yes, but you won't be micro-managed or handheld. Your growth will be on you to take action and not hold back. After all, things never magically happen. That said, we do have a growth framework in place to guide you.

Our growth framework outlines general responsibilities and expectations for your seniority, and at the same time, also inspires different areas to progress and grow in. You can go in a straight line, take a detour, or go sideways. Everything is possible; no two paths are the same.

Together with your leader, you'll have regular check-ins and talent talks twice a year to be challenged, brain on where to go ? and of course, check up on your goals and ongoing progress. So while it's your individual learning journey and effort, we know that when you grow, we grow too. And that's serious business.

‘Working at Designit has exposed me to a variety of critical thinkers and inspirational designers. Designers with whom I've shared coffee or meals and who have become some of my dearest friends. It sometimes feels like a dream to me that I'm working in a professional setting with people I've been able to share so much of my personal life with because they genuinely care.’

What happens now?

If you've got this far, and you're ready to hit that apply button, then you will be curious about what happens when you do. To begin with, your application will be screened. Then the People team and hiring team will take a closer look at selected applications. If you get an interview, expect roughly two to three rounds to explore if we're a match. If we are, then we're on to the details of the deal. Once that's signed, your onboarding experience will begin.

Even before you start, you'll get the lowdown on the Designit way ? and you'll also get connected with your buddy. Before you know it, you'll be walking through the front door ? and your first days and weeks will be designed to get you everything you need to get going. Everything. Whether that's IT set-up, project know-how, or simply getting to know your new workmates.
